200 years young
July 2020 sees the 200th year since St. Mary’s Arkengarthdale was built and consecrated.
We are pleased to announce that The Rt Revd Dr Helen-Ann Hartley, Bishop of Ripon will visit Arkengarthdale on Sunday 12th July 2020 to celebrate this event with the people of Arkengarthdale and the rest of the wider Parish.
To mark these 200 years of history, it is hoped to organise a number of church and community celebrations and events throughout the Spring and Summer.

So if you have ever wondered about the heritage and history of our four parish churches, or the architecture, or the renovations and restorations, both old and more recent, there’s another chance for you to find out on Saturday May 4th.
You’ll also be able to do a self-guided walk from church to church with maps and instructions provided.

Electoral Roll Revision 2019
2019 is a year for the preparation of a completely new Electoral Roll for the Ecclesiastical (Church of England) Parish. The Parish’s electoral roll starts again from scratch, meaning that everyone who wishes to be on the roll needs to apply, and old lists of electors are redundant.
The electoral roll acts as a “membership list” for churchgoers in the parish, and gives entitlement to vote at the Annual Parochial Council Meeting, (APCM), or...
