Celine Barry writes,

"The Swaledale Festival of Music, Arts and Walking in the Yorkshire Dales 2021 was a wonderful opportunity for families resettling in Richmondshire together with volunteers from Richmondshire Refugee Support Group (RRSG)  to meet up and enjoy the Fun Day programme together. Families and volunteers enjoyed the kite making and displays as well as the maypole and morris dancing, and traditional brass band

Families were delighted to attend a picnic lunch hosted by  the 2 Dales Action for Refugees group  which was held in the Vicarage in Reeth, home of Rev Caroline Hewlett.  Clive World, Chair of Richmondshire District Council and Town Councillor Arwen Webb extended a warm Yorkshire welcome to all.

The weather was perfect, the ice-creams delicious, the welcome generous!

A great day was enjoyed by all."
