A letter from our new Area Bishop

Dear friends in Christ,   I write to offer you all my sincere thanks for your prayers and your presence at Sunday’s service in Ripon Cathedral.  It was a truly memorable occasion which, I hope, gave glory to God in this new season in the Diocese of Leeds.  I look forward to all that lies ahead, and give thanks for the warmth of welcome that Myles and I have received since we moved into our new home in Sharow.  We look forward to opportunities to offer...

Would you like to be Confirmed in 2018?

Our new Area Bishop, the Rt Revd Helen Ann Hartley, will be installed in early February, and we hope to invite her to lead a Confirmation service later in the year.
If you would like to be confirmed, or would just like to know more, please contact the vicar. We hope to start a group for preparation in the Spring.

Holy Trinity Windows Project Completed

Our most recent development project was on the windows and this work was carried out in 2015-16. A substantial grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund enabled all the windows to be repaired and restored. Several windows, including the large east window behind the altar, had to be removed completely, so that they could be cleaned and re-leaded.
