Arrangements for opening church buildings for private prayer
We have taken careful account of the guidelines - about cleaning and sanitising, welcoming visitors carefully and having the buildings staffed while they are open, by people below the age of 70. This is not as simple as just unlocking the doors!
The decision was taken to do the following for now – this will change as we see how things work and as the Covid situation changes:
St. Mary’s, Muker and St. Mary’s, Arkengarthdale - the buildings will remain closed for the time being.
Holy Trinity, Low Row – half hour slots, booked though the churchwardens, will be available for private prayer from 5 July. Please contact us by phone or email through the links at the top of this website.
St. Andrew’s Grinton will be open from 5-7pm on Wednesday evenings and 2-4pm on Sunday afternoons, from 11 July. There is no need to book, but numbers of people at any one time will be limited.
